Just got back from Animazement. it was a wonderful experience. Now, the bane of my wallet has always been the dealers room, and this year was no exception. This year, however, was drawn to something from my past.
I'll give you a hint. It's blue.
Indeed. The first ever generation of pokemon was for sale at a booth, complete with a brand new battery welded in, guaranteed good for ten years. Now that's quality.
I still remember the first time I ever played pokemon, it was at a friends house, a long long time ago. (I was only eight. A wee lad who had only begun to rejoice in the joys of nylons.) I was spending the night, and he showed me this game on the good old lime green Game Boy Color. I then spent all day and all night playing the game, it was crazy. I had never found anything like this before. I had nearly gotten my last gym badge by the time I left, and he promised not delete my file. I never saw Venusaur again. In homage to that, I have never again taken a grass starter. (also, they always look silly. Bulbasaur ftw, Treeko for the fail.)
So there it was, Blastoise sitting on that bright blue cartridge and I was drawn like a moth to a flame. It was almost a religious experience. And I succumbed.
And am out 20 dollars.
But man is it nice to see Red again. I trounced him easily. Muahahahaha.
Anyway. That is all.
