Hey all, nice to be here .

So, I am, in all senses of the word, a complete newb to this >_<. I found your site as I'm planning to go crossplaying in october, and I'm sort've asking for advice, where to start etc. I've got a few questions for you all though, and I'm hoping at least some of you will have the answers I seek .

So, on with the questions...

1. How tricky is a leotard? I'm hoping to go as a playboy bunny, and I'm wondering how tricky it'd be to pull off?
2. How negative a reaction am I going to get by going there if I'm not entirely convincing? Seeing as I'm young, thin and quite tall, and I'm probably going to be in a revealing leotard with tights, make up etc...and I'm probably shaving EVERYWHERE :/.
3. Will I get branded a sex offender if I went into the girls toilets while crossplaying? >_< I'd be at the Cosplay Expo thing so I'd fit in....sorta.
4. To tell the truth, I'm not entirely set on seeing CD'ing as a regular thing, and if I decide against it, seeing as I live at home with my dad and 3 brothers, will it be worth being completely smooth, and ridiculed? D= As I don't really want to have to endure a month of mocking smiles and neverending jabs....

There are hundreds of little things but I doubt any of you would want to read and answer all of them aha. Would appreciate any opinions/stories etc, and advice would be VERY much more appreciated (towards passability, where to start etc.)

1. Pull it off as in looking good will probably be quite hard, hell it's hard for girls to look good in such revealing outfits. But Give it a try, who knows? Might suit you perfectly

2.It wholly depends on how you behave/look and what kind of people you encounter. The worst that's ever happened to me is a few laughs and the ever present "WTF?! looks" you get. Avoid places you know has low tolerance towards these kinds of "things" ), might get you into truble...

3. Probably not but It's not recomended, use the toilets assigned to your sex. It might be illegal!

4. I don't think anyone will notice or think twice about it. It's not that uncommon that guys shave their legs/arms etc.
I shave my legs on a regular basis because it's much more comfortable (beware it's addictive). Btw my dad shaves his legs too, I didn't notice untill after I started to shave mine (maybe he followed my example lolz). I wouldn't worry that much.


Sometimes less is more. Don't overdo it. I usually go without makup because it makes me look really artificial. I pass from time to time anyway and that's in a way flattering considering I'm almost 2m tall and have a chin worthy of Dolph Lundgren :3 (I'v only passed when I sit down lol).

Just do your thing and enjoy the moment. My first time crossplaying was awesome, I bet you'll have the same experience.
